Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Fujairah – UAE

Job Type: Full-Time

 

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, with a keen focus on leveraging SAP ERP systems to optimize the procurement process. Your expertise will contribute to our organization’s efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall success in sourcing materials and services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within the procurement process.

Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Continuously evaluate vendor performance, ensuring adherence to quality and delivery standards.

SAP ERP Utilization:

  • Utilize SAP ERP systems for procurement activities, including purchase order creation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Implement best practices and workflows within SAP ERP for efficient procurement operations.

Cost Analysis:

  • Analyze costs and pricing structures to make informed decisions regarding supplier selection.
  • Monitor market trends and fluctuations to optimize procurement strategies.

Inventory Management:

  • Ensure efficient inventory levels by collaborating with production and warehousing teams.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize overstock and stockouts.

Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased materials meet required specifications and standards.
  • Address and resolve quality issues promptly.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the procurement department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Assign tasks, set goals, and conduct performance evaluations.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  2. Proven +10 years UAE experience as a Procurement Manager, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  3. Strong knowledge of SAP ERP systems and procurement modules.
  4. Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
  5. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  6. Strong organizational and project management skills.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  8. Comprehensive understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.
  9. Leadership skills and experience in managing procurement teams.
  10. Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
