Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Arab Mining Company – Fujairah
December 15, 2022 – On the margins of the fourth 2022 meeting of the Arab Mining Company’s Board of Directors in the Emirate of Fujairah, a distinguished delegation led by His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi, Chairman of the Board, Dr. Ibrahim bin Saad Al-Mujil, Vice Chairman, and Mrs. Azza Al Suwaidi, Board Member and part of the Executive Management, toured the basalt fiber and rebars production project site located in Al Hail area, Fujairah.
This visit featured a comprehensive field tour of the project’s location. The delegation closely inspected the main production and administrative buildings, raw materials warehouse, and security facilities, as well as other vital infrastructure components.
During the visit, a significant meeting was convened with the project’s management team and the project contractors’ representatives. This meeting focused on discussing the latest progress and developments in the project’s implementation phases. The visit also included the participation of Mr. Taha Al Khawalda, General Manager of the Arab Mining Company – Fujairah, and Mr. Hassan Al Takrouri, General Manager of Arab Mining, along with representatives from a company specializing in the promotion and electronic marketing of the project’s products.
Concluding the site visit, the Chairman of the Board expressed his satisfaction with the project’s advancement and underscored its strategic importance in supporting and diversifying the mining industries in Fujairah. He highlighted the project’s potential in generating employment opportunities, thereby contributing significantly to the economic growth of both the emirate and the United Arab Emirates.
Furthermore, Mr. Taha Al Khawaldeh, General Manager of the Arab Mining Company – Fujairah, emphasized the critical need to commence production of basalt fibers and rebars as scheduled in the second half of 2023. This is essential to meet the growing local and international market demand for these products. He noted that the volume of orders already exceeds the project’s estimated annual production capacity of 5,000 tons, reflecting the high demand and the project’s promising future.
